I haven't skirted it. I've said that Jon was not part of the decision making regarding Rice. So I'm not sure how Ray Rice's repugnant indiscretion is a reflection on Jon Harbaugh.

Is there something I don't know, like: Harbaugh saying he thinks Ray should stick around, not get punished, etc?

I can give a rat's posterior about "decision making" as the NFL is a joke within itself and too many defend them as it is.   Harbaugh made some comments that he had no business making, the rest can be done on Google.   My point has been if Jim is "immature", then his brother is one rung below him on the maturity ladder.

Jim Harbaugh is going to Ann Arbor and is the best hire NFL, or even NCAA-wise.   Jim is mature and will be a perfect fit for the program.

One thing that is not happening for Michigan is recruiting in Ohio.  Michigan used to get a good number of players from Ohio.

Since Tressel and now Meyer have arrived  Michigans players from the HS rich state of Ohio football players is down.

This is not mentioned to degrade Michigan at all. It's just a fact.  Teams like MSU, Penn State, ND and Michigan came a callin'

to get blue chip recruits.  That has slowed somewhat in the last 6 to 7 years.  80 to 90% of the blue chips in Ohio now stay here.

Not to mention that Tressel and now Meyer get recruits from all over the nation.(Florida, Texas and California to name a few.)

I'm all for Harbaugh joining Michigan.  It can only boost the BIG.  I wish him well for Blues sake.

Sports announcer interviewed Woody Hayes after OSU throttled Michigan, asked why he went for two points instead of one? Woody
answered ("because I couldn't go for 3!)

BTW some of you young'uns might not know Woody and Bo were best of friends.  (God how I miss both of them)

After this hire, I'll say this once, last time you will hear this from a Buckeye.  Go Blue!  Good luck Michigan.

People will want to play for Harbaugh, Ohio HS players included.    Will it be difficult?   Possibly, but I certainly wouldn't rule them out.

BTW, just so some are informed.   I may live in Michigan, but root for the Vols.   However, I am able to be transparent in all of sports.    I will root for the Wolverines as long as they are not playing the Vols.   My Wife, Aunt, Brother, Sister and countless friends have graduated from UM.   My Mother went to UM for two years and transferred to Wayne State's Teaching program because it was superior.   So I know UM.

As an Ohio State fan, I just want to say that I'm glad UM got the coach they've been looking for. It's about time that UM is back in the national picture. His hire is good for both UM, the conference, and equally important- The Rivalry.

I predict Jim is going to win 8 games for UM in 2015.

Hey, Ohio State guys, since you have 3 great quarterbacks and only need one, how about sending one to Michigan?  :aok

Brooke OSU has four.  I watched OSUs' quarterback recruit from Akron in the HS playoffs.

But that wouldn't be possible. Why would any Ohio State player want to play for them? :neener:

Well, because Michigan is the greatest football team in history, of course.  They started in 1879 -- these recent several rough years are just a blip.  :aok

Sickening.
