And what would such a limitation achieve in AH? MW and EW certainly are not getting significantly more populated because of this

Not a problem!  If EW and/or MW planes flew in LW, put them in both (or all three, if the shoe fits)!  But generally this would sort out into the rough order that they were when the three arenas were first created.

Remove all scores and ranks and make it simply a private stats function each player could only view them self if so desired, without any indication as to how it ranked them compared to others.
