It's practically needed at this point. I want my 4k bomb to do 4k in damage, not 3600ish(?) or so that it does now. 100lb bombs should do 100lbs worth of damage, not the 160ish(?) they do now. Damage from the bullets shouldn't be based off of pt system, but off of cal, angle of impact, type, etc. And for the love of, NEED to get rid of that "it is there/it is not" damage setup on planes and gv's. Degrading performance to the point where it is gone (unless it is a hit that would just rip off the part). Example being, (to my understanding) right now if you have flaps out and one is hit and knocked off, that flap is actually "stuck" in that position, with the affects of it being in that position, until you bail, shot down/die, or land/ditch.

Bombs and bullets, in real life, never did/do their maximum damage potential every time they were dropped or shot. It was likely quite rare when one did. I've had a flap blown off (when deployed) and have found I didn't have the benefit of it behaving as if I had the additional lift on that side when I RTB'd to land on a CV.
I understand the wish. I'm challenging the practicality. Unless, of course, those wishing it have a firm understanding of what it would take to code this wish and how well it would work in the way they
think they wish it to. For instance, do you know one existing example of such online? How technically familiar are you with said example, if you have one? How many hours/days/weeks/months/years (the op wish gives us 5 years) and how many developers/coders would it take to mimic or create this 'better' damage model? Would it allow for anything else to be worked on? What will the player base drop to when waiting for it to come to pass?
But, like i said, a wish is a wish and who am I, really, to compare my perspective in light of it's likelihood or not?

(P.S. I really do think that three or four unique battle ship models and two or three unique carrier models are more practical .... and beneficial.)

(P.P.S. I've had my say. I'll leave it at that.)
