I've already accidentally attempted to zoom the map this way (because of being used to Google maps).

when i first started the game, it took me awhile to figure this simple, yet absolutely necessary control; I was also attempting to zoom in and out of the map using my mouse wheel until I finally asked on range how to do it.

With a gaming mouse, it's pretty easy to set up a profile for AH that uses the "browser forward" and "browser back" buttons to send keystrokes "delete" and "insert" and so zoom the map.  Took me all of fifteen minutes on my Logitach G400.  <shrug>

Any mouse with additional buttons can be mapped in AH Mapping to do it. just done mine in 2 minutes! (Logitech MX1000)
But the mouse wheel would indeed be so much better!

Mouse wheel used in map zooming is a bit more common, and very much more handy. :)  Just picked up the G700s, but would still love to use the wheel to zoom in/out. :D
