The P39 and why it is amazing.

You may ask yourself but why raynos would you fly the p39?  WELL LET ME TELL YOU WHY.

1.There is no escaping your opponents. 99% of the planes attacking you are faster then you so dont have to worry about people calling you a running noob .

2. You're the whoopee sexiest fighter out there and it makes your opponents Jelly forcing them to come down to you  .

3. With the p39D you're sitting with 4x303s,2x50s,1x37mm CANNON (dont u dare take a 20mm gun package *stares at latrobe*  ).

4. With the Q you have the climbing ability to even zoom climb with the pesky 109k4s long enough to splurt a giant 37mm round into the deepest parts of there planes.

5. YOU HAVE A BIG 37MM GUN CAPABLE OF MAKING TANKS EXPLODE B17S MINCEMEAT AND TURN FIGHTERS TO ASHES.

6. Your sexy and it has a 37mm gun.

7. People will think you're me while flying it and be more cautious/

8. it cant roll right at all against it torque when slow and lacks a rudder like the 109, but it has the most amazing slow stall move ever and i wont share it  .

9. For all those who have wet dreams of shooting down any of the Damned Topgun AoM or any squad that makes you mad this is the plane for you. They cant help but dive on a "helpless" p39 and then you can show them why its called the Cobra.

10. Nothing is sweeter then getting kills with this p39s 37mm gun with a rate of fire that allows for 1 bullet for every year you know they are mad when they die.

11. Spitdweebs will cry when you are owning them . Runstangs will curse when you're owning them . and best of all when you kill Anarchy's k4 he will be pissed (i can tell you this from many experiences) .

You convinced me. After being shamed by my small 20mm cannon in my 38g I gave a pink 39q sporting 4 .50s and a 37mm a try for one sortie tonight. Surprisingly I kinda liked it . I engaged a pony and flung a few taters at him missing horribly only to have him turn around and shoot my cannon out leaving me only 4 .50s. I ended up shooting the pony down and was promptly ganged by a spit and ki84 sending me to the tower. I may have to give it a go again.

I flew a 39 once and got on a 109k tail, but he out ran the 37mm cannon shells.

I'm pretty sure he meant the 39's rudder doesn't work as well as the 109. Not that the 109s rudder didn't work well.

Took the 39 out for a stroll tonight but found it very hard to kill anything. 

I hit a 190 with three 37mm shells and it did no damage then I hit some Lancs and the first lanc was hit 7 or 8 times with the 37 and the second Lanc around 5 times.

I reviewed the film to confirm they were tators and not 50cal doing the damage.

Is that normal for those shells?

Sounds like you hit the AH tator bug. I thought it would've been fixed by now. Back when I was playing I counted 7 30mm hits on the film to a lancs tail at a 90 degree angle from my 262, it lost half of the elevator.
