My experience is there is no 1 shoe fits all in defending and defeating virus's, trojans,maleware. etc.
Its best to keep an assortment of tools handy.
My main AV is still Nod32, I also have malewarebytes. But dont keep it active all the time. I use it more as a tool.
On my PC as well as on a USB stick I have a copy of malewarebytes, Combofix, and Rkill.
Keeping a copy of these on a USB stick comes in handy for some of your nastier stuff and if you have a family that isnt quite as diligent about keeping their PC clean as you are
