I think it's a great idea   :lol   A little irreverence now and then is a good thing

It's still an Axis vs Allied set up and I never read where it's the "Re-enactment Arena." The SEA has plenty of options for that so adding some "what if" set ups won't and never have hurt the arena. Some even drew larger than normal numbers.

See the link above, Oldman.

As I told Jaeger when I pitched this idea to him, I'm cooking up a special Kriegsmarine 109E skin for this, as well as a historically accurate P-40C.

Well, people have been asking for years for the German aircraft carrier's 109E and Stuka, so I suppose it lends itself to that.

And certainly it's historically no more bizarre than the MAs, so give it a try.

Would you consider including the F4F along with the P-40C?
The Ju-88...yes or no?
How difficult is it to recover a 109 or Ju-87 on the deck of a CV?

The planeset I pitched to Jeager included both the P-40C and F-4F as Allied fighters, as well as the He 111 for the Axis torpedo bomber. All of these can be recovered on a carrier fairly easily, but rearming may prove difficult for some but it can be done.

I agree, some of the "what if" setups in the past did draw some larger attendance....

I just now realized both Oldman and Slash seem to be no longer part of the AvsA Staff......

Thank you both for all your volunteered time over the years keeping  CT and AvsA going! it is one of my most favorite arenas in the game

sounds like fun. if only there was a luft plane capable of slingin' a torp and lifting from a CV. Then again, flying a loaded stuka off a carrier is lots of fun too.
The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.

Sounds interesting. I had a 1 frame event where I depicted the US attacking Germany before Pearl Harbor.

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!
