F11...what??
« on: February 08, 2015, 08:13:41 PM »
I was typing in LW about F11 and most were??? In fact I got not a comment that indicated anyone knew how it worked.
So, my question is, anyone besides me try to use F11?
With F11, you highlight a plane or vehicle(with Tab for enemy or Shift/Tab for friendly) than hit F11 and your view follows what you've Tabbed.

It's popular among some of the Fighter Ace crowd...

Otherwise it's fun for video making...

Never bothered with it. I could see how it might be useful in a duel once you got used to it.

If you say "padlock" instead of F11 there might be less confusion.

There's one that will put a box around any plane you wish, enemy or friendly, so you can know which is which.

What they're talking about is a 'padlock view' setting, that will actually move the pilot's sight so that it follows the specific enemy.  If the enemy gets lost under your plane, this feature stops working until you activate it again.

Fine if you are only fighting 1 or maybe two people. But for your average AH battle. Your best bet is still just to keep your head on a swivel while keeping in mind the trajectory and likely location of your primary target

Use Tab to select the target aircraft and F11 to activate padlock. To padlock a friendly use Ctrl Tab to activate friendly lock.

Might want to add how to turn it off.  Not turning it off is a real problem lmao

Also it requires a specific activation sequence for head tracking.  Might want to include that as well

Geezus FLS... You're as testy as a menapausal woman.

I don't use it.  I have used it.  I don't know the keystrokes.   It was only a logical, little tiny exception for which I knew you knew the answer.   Anything else I can do for you ma'am?

Never knew aces high had such a feature, i knew about selecting planes, but i thought it only usefull for keeping eye on a target  i may have already damaged and would like to finish off if i got the chance while in a multiple engagement, i had zero clue it would move my pilot head on its own had it only been for another button press.

wow.  :rock :salute
