So are all microsoft "partners" crap companies?

Had I said so, I would have crapified myself, too. What I wanted to point out was that it's very easy to get a legit MS partnership, not to mention the ease of simply lying. Even reviews can be faked. On the other hand the reliable ones can get poor reviews by their rivals or just due to bad luck. Media reading skills is what way too many Internet users are lacking.

Here's something positive: Most online shops are reliable and will offer help if the product doesn't work as suggested.

i can say this after traveling extensively throughout the Philippines and other Asian countries that  i have seen many users with pirated windows , I have seen the downside of what happens .  if you want to try to save a buck you run the risk of wiping out your entire drive leaving you nothing but a rectangular box , all i can say its will cost you more to fix .
  For me its the read deal or nothing . your windows my download from this site and it may work but what else was included with the download that you dont know of

I will keep checking the validity of the copy I installed and I will report if it shows up as not legitimate or authentic.

I have been unable to verify if the company is bogus. The fact of it being based offshore (Dominica) raises some questions as well as the NY based storefront is probably just a sham.
On the other hand, I would think Microsoft would have the power to shut them down immediately if they were not a "partner" as advertised on Microsoft's own "Pinpoint" website, and were selling bogus products. You can do a search for them on that site (Microsoft's own site) and there they are.

Legitimate copies of Windows do not get mysterious certificate problems. So either you enjoy your 'tweaking' and error solving or you get a legit copy that doesn't have porked registry to avoid authority checks.

Yes if you can run large updates without problems, chances are the certificate problem was unrelated.

If someone wants free windows, Win10 release preview is by far the safest choice. And then start saving up for the license.
