No other Flight sim can compare when you're speaking of AH In any aspect.

I have flown in WT.....and been in AH 10 years or so now....

AH hands down is the better combat sim....

one thing you wont see in WT
each bomber set of 3...... is a player









another thing AH has is its outstanding view system...you can move your head around and save head positions...unless you use trakr which also works great in AH.


the community in AH is also outstanding...(of course there are always bad apples)


the FM is about as close to the real deal as you will find

not only WT have I played.... but I played all the WW2 games/sims

AH is where its at.

Welcome Back.  Don't let the one thing you'll notice about AH, throw you off.  While AH isn't any where near the level of War Thunder in looks, it sure makes up for it with the VAST options available to you.

The best things about Aces High is that I don't have to worry about some kind of time limit, and the size of the maps are larger.  Plus there isn't a waiting queue to get airborne.  You also won't have to worry about team killing.  They shoot you, they die.   You will notice that compared to War Thunder, we are missing a few planes, but overall have a decent plane set.  You have options.   Another thing to note is that HTC is currently working on Aces High 3, which is a MASSIVE revamp of the terrain and hopefully, damage system.


As others have mentioned, pop on in for a few months and give it a whirl.  With so many options to do things, I think you'll find Aces High a nice change from War Thunder.

I still play WT from time to time and I have to say with out a doubt it is the most annoying thing I've ever had the displeasure to mess with....and all that is due to poor control setup and poor flight model.

I still hang with it but it will never replace AH.
