Whole lotta love? That was my fav song in HS, don't know if I've ever heard it covered.
They're casting their bait over there, see?

IIRC Heart used to do Whole Lotta Love at every concert they did... :headscratch:

I will link some later, not easy on my phone, but Gary Hoey does a slew of outstanding covers like Money and Hocus Pocus, also Linus and Lucy (his name for the Peanuts classic). All instrumental covers.
Also outstanding was the Jeff Healy cover of Stuck in the Middle. It was on an album he did called "Covers" iirc. All of those were geat.
And a various artist collection, two actually, the first being "Dragon Attack", a collection of Queen covers, and "Stairway to Heaven, Highway to Hell", a collection of covers to pay homage to artists whose time came too soon due to alcohol of chemical related issues, from a concert I think was the "Make a Difference Foundation". Even had Gorky Park doing a cover on that one.

Johnny Cash doing Nine Inch Nails  "Hurt"

Yup, that's a good one.

Manfred Mann's version of Blinded by the Light is probably up there.

Defines cover of Jealous Guy

Me first and the gimme gimme' version of Nothing Compares is good too

YES!  :rock :rock :rock :rock

Hoey is my favorite guitarist, both his original material and covers are amazing.

Here's some of his best covers not listed above.

Slash's current band, saw them live 2 weeks before their most recent album, seeing em again in May. Loved when they did this song live opening for Aerosmith.

Seems Myles Kennedy toned down his inner ethyl merman because he sounds really good on the recent "world on fire" album with slash.

Everybody has a cover of "Creep", but I'm partial to this one:

And leave it to Tori Amos to strip down an Eminem tune to reveal just how disturbing it really is:
