Aiming too high and trying to please people who might have influence in your career. That's one of the fastest ways to an early grave. Be merciful to yourself, give yourself some slack, aim lower. "Good" is usually enough, "perfect" is only needed when human lives rely on that. It's similar to using WEP, giving a temporary boost at the cost of shortening engine life.
Remember, you're not irreplaceable unless you can dip your finger into water so that a hole remains. So do your job only well enough to keep it. Get some time to empty your mind. It's often easier somewhere where you can feel your littleness compared to the creation. The woods is a good choice, or a lake or the prairie.
