Waffle's Video Settings
« on: March 17, 2015, 06:41:34 PM »
Hello, Waffle's settings are they for like "toning down" setting
to get better frame rates?

If you have a GTX say a GTX980 what settings should you use to
get the max(as in eye candy) to make thing look the best as you can in
AH?

Anyone know what the nvidia options should be set to obtain best looking
graphics as possible?

Thanks kindly for any info on the what the settings should be.
Hope the question makes sense.

There is a lot involved, memory, and cpu can add issues as well.

The best way is to take the time and try messing with your setup. I know it sucks, but systems just don't work the same.

Anti-alison sucks up the most cycles. Shadows as well. Start with 1024 textures and everything turned on/up except those two and give it a run. Find the biggest dar bar and fly through it. If your rig holds what you think is a good frame rate you good. Add a bit of anti-alison or shadows until if drops too low for you.

Also you might want to give this a look.

Best thing you could do, especially before sharing your system specifics, is to set everything in the Nvidia Control Panel (under Manage 3D Settings) to Application-controlled. Then use the Aces High settings to get the best appearance you can. Once you establish that you can setup a custom setting for Aces High and tweak the AF, AA, AA Mode, and other settings to get the most out of your card.

You don't want to use the same settings that I have, because I use SLI (just to emphasize what Fugitive said).
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

I'm only finding the application controlled setting option under anisotropic filtering and antialiasing filtering. Am I missing something?
