Very slow in game mouse movement
« on: March 20, 2015, 12:14:38 AM »
Hello,

So I just reinstalled AH onto my new  computer and am now having issues with the speed of the ingame cursor.

In Windows and in the Menu of the game, my mouse operates just fine, but when I try to use the mouse to look around or aim a gun, it scales the movement down to a crawl. I have tried to change the DPI of the mouse, but even with it Maxed, it is impossible to track an enemy aircraft with guns.

I cannot understand why it works fine in one part of the game but not the rest?

The gun aim is going to be at the speed of the gun, not the speed of the mouse.  The traverse rate is base on the gun, not how fast you can move your mouse.

This issue has cleared itself. Not sure what fixed the issue.

The gun aim is going to be at the speed of the gun, not the speed of the mouse.  The traverse rate is base on the gun, not how fast you can move your mouse.

I understand this. you can swing the mouse to a point in space and wait for the gun to traverse to that spot. this was not the issue.

The problem I was having was that the mouse was so slow it could not move as fast as the guns max traverse speed. I could use the Joystick to move the Wirbles guns around about 2x the speed I could, with the mouse.

But then as I stated, if I brought the clipboard up it would return to normal windows speed.

Okay, usually when that happens it means the game is fighting to keep the focus of the caret.  In other words, something else was trying to gain focus from the game.
