Realistic night
« on: March 21, 2015, 12:20:34 PM »
It would be nice to have one night a month were all is realistic. Meaning ( don't remember what its called ) but were all buffers are turned off...example, on take offs and landings, you have to make sure the runway is clear or you can run into your own country's planes, accidently shot down friendly planes etc... in other words be total realistic play!
Just a thought, what do you all think. Lol   :airplane:

I know Zoney that would be a problem, but If they set is up where someone was doing that on perpose then they would be kick off for awhile, just a thought.
But I think it still might be fun one night a month.....  :salute

Problem is that if 2 guys up at the same runway at the same time they will go boom.

You can set up a custom arena with any settings you want for like minded players and boot any griefers.
You can avoid runway collisions by using the radio, like you're talking to the tower.

I understand there would be logistical problems, but that what realism means. As far as setting up a custom arena, I'm not sure exactly how to do that, but if someone could explain how I go about that, I'll try it.

when you are looking to choose what arena to go to..there is a second tab named "custom arena's" click that tab and go set up the arena...the specifics I am not sure about but it shouldn't be that difficult.

Having seen what happens when killshooter is off and friendly fire is on, I don't think this is a good idea.

+1 to this idea.  I love the concept.  Not sure if I agree with the nuts and bolts you have presented as implementation.  Would like to see it more than once a month.  But hey,  been playing a little bit now and always scouring the forums.  One thing I learned is can't always get what you want.  +1 for the idea.  And a bonus to the P-61 guys like me.  If only it could happen :pray

in aw if you shot down friendly planes you would be denied ammo for 24 hours.  my first 3 kills were friendly, didnt know anything about the game.

I dont think many people would try to shoot friendlies down except maybe squadies messing with each other.  OTOH there's some people that if I saw them flying perked airplanes, I would not hesitate to shoot them down if they were on my side.

Your memory is short, young Jedi.  Fraggers in AW were a huge source of discontent, dwarfing the sort of grumpiness we see here, most recently, in the bomb-&-bail thread.  Don't you remember?  "There were spies in the real war!"

We used to turn killshooter off in AvA to more closely replicate real life.  Even with what I thought was a more mature crowd, we still saw fragging.
