The manned 37mm Flak 36 will reach 4.7k with a huge dispersion circle. The mobile osti 37mm platform should reach the same range based on the manuals but, Hitech has limited it to 2.7k. Why do you believe he will not limit the 40mm on an anti aircraft platform, instead allow it to shoot father than the osti? The 20mm Flak 38 mounted in the wirbel per the manuals can reach farther than it's game range, Hitech limited it to 1.7k.
So why did Hitech limit the mobile platforms when the specs for them shows the following:
Wirblewind max vertical range with 6sec self-destruct: 2400yd --- game range 1700yd
Ostwind max vertical range with 13sec self-destruct: 4590yd ---game range 2700yd
40mm Bofors max vertical range: 4155yd --- British self destruct fuse 3000-3500yds. --- projected game range limit going by what Hitech did to the german mobile platforms - ??
And this gun platform's turret is fixed versus the osti's turret is not. So how fast can you make the base mobile carriage turn on it's tracks to lead something?
The manned 37mm and auto ack 20mm shoot to about max ranges as fixed base defense. Past about 1500yd, all of these light AA that we can man, have horrible dispersion, and very few of us really account well for time to target, drop, and dispersion. I can hit bomber boxes regularly to 2500yd with the 37mm because they are so big. 2700-4000, a few times a month by accident. Dispersion and time to target are against you past 2500.
