vox goes away
« on: March 24, 2015, 01:46:00 PM »
Looking for a guru to tell me what is wrong with my vox in AH.

When I talk only the first 1 or at most 2 words are at proper volume then it fades quickly and people say they cant hear what I said.

Asus Sabertooth Z77 motherboard onboard sound.

I have tried various headsets and am now using my preferred setup of speakers and headset mic. plugged into motherboard everything seems to be ok except in AH.

Help please.

Check if you have automatic gain or noise suppression set on in your audio settings. Maybe it drops the gain automatically to suppress engine noise or something when you speak.

Put your game ID in the radio control bar 'V' box and test it.  It will echo back exactly what anyone else would hear.

If he volume is dropping, but the text is not breaking up, then look for some type of auto-gain control, like Ripley said.

If it is breaking up, it is a networking issue.

Thanks, You guys,  I think I may have got it fixed.     It seems  acoustic echo cancelation was checked, unchecked it & that made big difference -  taking the noise cancellation off didn't affect it at all. going into MA to see what it does.
