Is there some reason that HTC has to host some internal, custom Wiki? Isn't there someplace out there like the real Wikipedia that people can utilize?

Digital Combat Simulator (DCS) has a Wikipedia homepage.
Looks like a lot of games are on Wikia.com

simply put

http://www.hitechcreations.com/

in front of

wikia/wikiaerror.html

HiTech

My question is, are you saying that that list is a list of all the wikiaerror.html pages? Or is it just a list of all the wiki pages?  I ask that because it lists 113Lucky Strikes squad wiki pages and I know that all the links in the 113th Lucky Strikes are valid.

Wikia.com gets a lot of eyes on games due to the nature of the "free" community. You just put up with all the adds. HTC has a Wikipedia page, though DCS is pushing it's boxed products in more depth. Wikia is maintained by their version of Skuzzy and a Wikia presence might help the google search placement. A problem though, WT is already in place at Wikia, while the average gamer audience there is probably a bit younger than the average HTC customer.

So, who actually owns the AH Wiki and is responsible for it's outcome??

You can ignore the ones that start with /wikia/index.php    as the broken link. Theses are pages that need to be added in the wiki.

Most of the real errors are at the bottom of the list.

That is where we could run into a problem sorting these issues out.

Hitech said that is a list of all the errors. I checked your page for the line that is wrong and the only way to find it is by viewing the source of the page.

The red arrow points to what is the last line of text on the Lucky Strikes page, everything below.... and there is another 70 or so lines of coad not showing..... can only be viewed in the source/html of the page. The bad link (blue arrow) is in what is termed the "printfooter" (blue circle).

These lines can't be edited by us.

One thing right off, I'm not looking at HTML code.  I'm using the edit tools offered by Wiki edit.  I selected a squad wiki page and then proceeded to click on each link on the page, the links that resulted in 404s I commit out.   For the Wiki page category of Squad, all pages have working links.   I did not try to resolve broken HTML code.   That would be a different issue.

I have no idea what you are attempting to show me with all the different colored arrows.  Using the Wiki tool for edit I really don't see HTLM code.  Also, if Wiki Edit is producing incorrect HTLM code, than there is a much larger issue at work here.

I don't know any of the rules yet I have only been rule #4'd once...........and that was because my post contained a quote that had been rule #4'd.

If you act civil, the rules don't get broken.

What I'm showing you is that everything from the red arrow down is HIDDEN from you when you use the Wiki Editor. The Blue arrow points to the link that is bad on your squads page. So while you THINK your page is ok it will still come up on the error list due to this link.

What I am saying is that I didn't enter that link, IF it is generated by the wiki process I don't control that.   When I enter wili and sign in, I have to select edit for each item that I change on the page.  when I finish and select save or preview wiki generated that html, not me.

So what you are saying is it's a system issue, OR the incorrect reporting of a "broken link" that is causing the issue?  Help me understand please.

exactly right.  When I enter wiki, I sign in, I open a wiki page and I read the page and select a link, if it returns a 404 or page not found or points to a web site that no longer exists I select Wiki Edit and comment out the link using Wiki Edit and save the page.   At that time, the wiki software generates the HTML code as a result of my save or preview action.  The Wiki code looks nothing like HTML.

Correct. That is what Im saying with the picture. We can go through the whole wiki and there are STILL going to be errors lines that we can't change. There is something inherent in the wiki that is messed up. That is going to have to take someone with knowledge AND access to the coad to fix BEFORE it can be added back to the site.

Have you tried deleting the broken link, instead of commenting it out? The link would still be in the HTML, visible to web bots, just not visible to humans. Maybe this is the crux of the issue.

The first few changes I made I did so by deleting the link.   The pages were still listed in his error report.
