I see , Thanks
Wonder if I got a used one off Ebay or something if it be all right ?
I'm a big baby about such things, and I really don't have time to fiddle with locking/unlocking phones or convincing a service provider to work with a phone I got on ebay. So I buy straight from the source. Sprint stores used to actually be decent but now they don't even seem to sell anything but the cheapest pieces of junk and phone accessories. There are 2 sprint stores near my house and neither of them had any iphones of any kind in stock 6 months after the iphone 6 release, except for the pink 16GB iphone 6+ and the 8gb iphone 5c, both totally useless to me. I don't know how they stay open since they don't seem to sell anything or know anything about their products or even service plans. So I bought my phones directly from apple and then called sprint customer service directly to get them activated and make sure my service plans were not fouled up by apple.
So... Yea. You might be able to get a nice phone on ebay and maybe you'll be lucky and it won't be stolen and it will actually be unlocked and won't have a defect and won't have been opened up and messed with or dropped or whatever, and you'll get a good deal and your service provider will activate it without any problems. That's too many maybes for me so I save my pennies and pay cash for what I really want.
I used one of those "free" flip-phones they will give you if you sign up for their cheapest contracts for YEARS even after the first iphones became popular, because I didn't want to spend the cash for an iphone. And then I was dumb and got the iphone4S with the least amount of memory, and immediately realized it didn't have enough but couldn't trade it in. Oops. Lesson learned there, now I save my pennies and get what I really want the first time from a reputable source that will accept a return or trade-in if the thing doesn't work. Not sure you'll get that kind of security from ebay. Might want to save up some more and go for one of the contract deals that cut the price of the phone and the service plan, and maybe just use a piece of crap $10 Wal-Mart pay as you go flip phone until you've got enough saved up to pay cash.
