I have to giggle a bit at the iphone vs android wars. I have no horse in that race as I still use an old Motorola W930 flip phone.
But there are things I have noticed about the two camps.
1) Still cannot upgrade the iPhone battery. Last time I checked an iPhone battery replacement was about $80 (including shipping). Of course, you are without your phone during this time.
2) Still cannot run multiple apps, simultaneously, on an iPhone. Not all Androids can, but many can.
3) Android phones can be charged with any USB cable, iPhones require a special Apple cable which apparently is not compatible within the iPhone family. Stupid.
4) I have noticed some Android phones are coming with micro HDMI connections now, allowing it to be connected directly to a television. Not sure if that is anything anyone would actually use.
5) Many Android phones come with an IR port so the phone can be used as a universal remote control for your entertainment systems. This is handy.
There are others, but the point is, Android seems to be geared to those who like to customize their experience and enjoy outfitting the phone to fit their needs. iPhones seem to be geared to those who like the Apple way of doing things. One is very flexible and the other is a brick.
I have friends in both camps. It is interesting to note the difference in the personalities of those who favor one over the other. Whatever your personality is, there seems to be a phone for you.
