That David Gilmour's guitar solo at the end of comfortably numb, was fifteen minutes longer.

Definatly.

Both "shine on you crazy diamond" songs have some decent length to them. I'm guessing you're familiar with them.

I'm currently in a Pink Floyd Tribute band. The solo in Comfortably Numb is plenty long enough. The Pulse tour version is a bit longer. The guitar work on Sorrow is pretty good to.

Cool sig mike  :aok
Unfortunately as close as I will ever come to seeing them live is Pulse, however since that was recorded beginnig to end of the concert, it is likely the best live concert video ever made.
And yes, both Numb solos are longer, and even better, than the original release. Sorrow is amazing. The opening riffs to Coming Back to Life are astoundingly powerful, as are the lyrics.
There never was, nor will there ever be, anything like Pink Floyd. They opened their minds with Syd Barret, but they poured out their souls when David joined the band.
Usually I do them in silence, however I think the long back road Jeep ride today will include all Pink Floyd cd's...

And mike, totally cool to be in a Floyd cover band. Especially if you are a fan. I know a guy who is in a band that does basic 60's-90's stuff, and they are great, but when they do any SRV he goes galactic. He gets lost in the music, and so do those watching.

Very very good!  Well done.  But just a bit of criticism if I may.

In spots she was to mechanical, not enough of "her" was coming through.

She is very very good.  I don't mean to demean her playing....for her age she is fabulous.

A good musician is not only a technician, but one who also can place his/her soul and feeling in 100% of the piece.

Gilmour plays this with his eyes closed.  With more experience she has the ability to be one of the best.

Little more soul and feeling.  Express your feelings.  Make your feelings obvious.

That was very good for sure. Amazingly, she also has a video of her playing a Dream Theater song, with very similar sound. I was looking for Dream Theaterdoing Pink Floyd covers, which thanks in part to their guitar player (John Petrucci) they do very well, and she came up in the search, the vid you posted and the DT cover. Remarkable stuff.
