Bloch MB.162
« on: April 03, 2015, 02:36:38 PM »
The Bloch MB.162
French four engine, heavy bomber. Developed late 1930's. Never flew under the French forces, but captured by Germany early in the war and used successfully from 41-42.

Pretty fast for a heavy bomber.
Up to 551km/h (342mph) at an alt of 5500m.

Good bomb load.
3600Kgs (about 8000lbs) of bombs.

Good defences.
2 x 7.5mm MAC 1934 MGs in the nose and ventral positions. 2 x 20mm hispano HS.404 cannons in ventral and dorsal positions.

Happily confused and Insane.

In your real life, do you make it a habit of not communicating complete information?

The MB.162 did not fly a single combat mission, nor did the MB.162 B.5 production model ever enter production. The prototype was used by the Luftwaffe in I/KG 200 for clandestine affairs during 1943-1944.

Early on when I first started posting stuff on the wishlist, the majority of the post was my own personal opinion on the vehicle/tweak. I figured this was a bit too bias, as I would rarely point out the cons of the vehicle and only focus on the pros of it. So I just shortened them down to a short article on the vehicle details, so there was ZERO input by me, and people could see the vehicle barebones and form their own opinion.

Apparently, for some reason, people dont like this. Which is why I am going to go back to my old ways. BUT, I will focus more on making the cons of the vehicle/tweak more clear to the reader.

In order to be added to Aces High a vehicle or plane or weapon must have been used in combat in WWII or WWI.

I don't think you comprehend what you're being told, here.

It's nothing to do with the pros and cons, but entirely to do with HISTORY. An aircraft that never saw combat in WWII will never see combat in Aces High, no matter WHAT pros and cons it has.

Or to put it another way: If it never saw combat, that's a DAMN big con that WILL override any pros, and guarantee it will never see the light of day in the game.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Does the OP even think before he posts?  :bhead

It's one thing to open up something for discussion but the topic has to have actual revelency.

Meaning:
In order to be added to Aces High a vehicle or plane or weapon must have been used in combat in WWII or WWII.

And this that is a painful trend in your threads:
I don't think you comprehend what you're being told, here.

Hi Allie.

That French bomber is a great find!  I never realized the French had attempted to develop a heavy bomber in WWII.  Good for you, man, for taking an interest in WWII history and doing some research.

As has been pointed out, it won't do for AH because it never saw combat.  Perhaps you were unaware of that requirement.   I'm still glad you posted it though because I learned something.

Thanks.

I'm going to settle all of this.

I'll admit, a lot of the things I post have many problems. And a lot of the things I post, I would probably be the only person crazy enough to use them. But at least all the things I post are grounded in reality.

I've seen people post that they want TU-95 heavy bombers, which is a cold war/modern (still used today by the russian airforce) bomber designed to carry missiles...
F-14 jets...
Fa Draches, which were helicopters. While they did serve under the germans in ww2, they would get annihilated by fighters in an instant...
And even Type 97 Chi Ha's, Japanese tank... JAPANESE TANKS.

Now, imagine B-29s were not in AH. And I wish for it. And I told you it can go to 30k and the only way your ever going to catch it is to spend 150-200 perks buying a jet, just to get obliterated by its 12 Machine guns and 20mm cannon. What would you say? "Oh, that sound completely stupid, it can drop entire factories and HQs and Cities in one go. Thats too op, did you even think before you posted this? Jesus christ help this kid."  :bhead

Just be happy I at least give it any form of thought. If I didnt think that it could be at least the tiniest bit succesful, I wouldnt post it. I would be busy, typing up walls of text as to why I think a B-52 would be great to have.

Lets just take a second to see what I've wished for so far in the wishlist...
-Strategic Positions such as Ack and Radar bases.
-Bloch MB.162s.
-Tupolev TB.3s.
-B-25s to be put on Aircraft Carriers.
-Howitzers and Railguns.
-Zveno Project.
etc...

ALL of them were used in WW2. Except maybe the Bloch. Do you see any cold war era jets and super heavy modern bombers in there? No...

For those of you who apparently think that your above me, I'm not going to stop. If I have an idea that I think could have any chance of working, I'm going  to post it. No one asked you to click on my posts just to criticize me, not even the post half the time. This isnt Guantanamo Bay, I'm allowed to say what I want.

And for those of you who actually seem to support me. Thank you. Even if you do disagree. You at least act like your talking to a human instead of talking to a dog.  :salute

This isn't anime fanboy teeny bopper vampires are us, and you ain't Alucard. This is not Hellsing, Unlimited or otherwise.

Only the prototype saw use by the Luft as a nighttime delivery wagon for dropping agents because of it's speed. It did not fly in force in combat. That is the requirement. The aircraft and vehicles forum is were you post tid bits like this you want people to ooohh and aww over your Wikipedia scholarship. I believe at the minimum you do know this difference.

You don't do very well when not preaching to a choir that agrees with you.

What the hell do you people want from me?

All I have done is put things in the wishlist that I would like to see in the game. Why is the wishlist here? Oh, so people can make wishes for things they want in the game...
I believe Skuzzy says to not say a thing if its not to contribute to the topic. And what do you do? You spam ALL of my posts with criticism of ME, not even the post half the time.

Why do I make these posts? Theres 2 reasons.
1. I would love to see the things I post in the game. Even if im the only one who would use it.
2. I've had people say that they actually enjoy my posts.

I'm going to say it one more time. All you have to do, is politely disagree with me. Not say its completely stupid and continue to go on and criticize me. Just say that you disagree with it, and leave. And if you can't do that, then do not click on any of my posts for now on.

-Lets not turn this into an argument that belongs on facebook. Thank You.  :salute

Flame on...  Sweet bejeebus, that got out of control.  Anyways, while I do like the idea of adding more aircraft to the game, this one has no place.  Plenty of other aircraft should be added before the Bloch 4 engine.  -1 But good find, for what it is worth.

And that is how one disagrees.  :bolt:
