I had my T-6 painted in stock colors of the time.  If I had stayed with ownership of warbirds and gotten into fighters, they would have been stock or basic group markings.  I find too much is flamboyant these days and it is not truly representative of the majority of what served.

Large-splotch camouflage scheme, a yellow nose because sexy trumps practicality, a single winged sword crossed over a shield, and "Axios" as my motto.

Instead of White 7, or something of the like, my plane would bear S117.

P-40's look dangerous like that...

I'd like to somehow paint a rattlesnake with its mouth open around an Airacobra...with like a shiny aluminum background, I've tried to envision it painted on a Spit8 but I just can't see it on there...

I really like the shiny aluminum look on any plane...

On the nose it would say BOOMER SOONER!!!!!  :rock :rock :rock
