T Rudder MK II Pedals
« on: April 08, 2015, 05:17:41 PM »
WpnX posted about these little gems a while ago.  Being a big fan of my Crosswinds, I asked to be put on the list for another set of these babies.  They emailed me today, and have a number in stock, if anyone else is interested in them.

http://flightsimcontrols.com/store/available/t-rudder-pedals-mkii/

They are around 250$ USD or less shipped including insurance (288$ Canadian shipped total), a pretty good deal for metal custom pedals, as that's 1/2 what the Crosswinds and similar sets cost now.  No toe brakes, but if you can live with that, IMO these are the best out there, especially for the $.

If anyone is looking for these, I'd jump on them quickly, as they sell out very fast from what I've seen before.

I did as well, I'm thinking of getting a 2nd set too as I know they'll sell out very fast, and that way when somebody else comes along too late, I'll have a nib set I can offer them, that or having a backup set, as they come along very infrequently.

Let me know what you think of yours once you get them Skyyr, I'd be interested to hear how precise you find them.

I really like my Crosswinds, don't get me wrong, I use them on the system I have set up for DCS and my GF's system with my Warthog, as I much prefer CH stuff for AH as I find the stick better and more precise of small motor skill aim.  I also got an email last week from the guy who makes the Slaw pedals, he had set ready for me of the 109 Cam series pedals, I was on the wait list for 7 months, but having heard these T rudders were soon to be forthcoming, I let a friend have my Slaw Cams.  I kinda wish I'd got them as well for comparison, but IMO for 2x less cost, the T rudders are the way to go.  I can always map a button to toe brakes, or a throttle function, so that doesn't matter to me.

In the last thread about these, much was discussed about the precision and function of these T rudders, and IMO the way in which they move and function gives the highest level of rudder accuracy you can get - again just IMO.  Since Saitek/Catz just had a new production run of the Saitek Combat Pedals (the best non custom pedals available IMO), they are up to 225$ CDN plus shipping.  The popularity of the new space sims like ED and SC are driving the prices up and availability down for HOTAS.  Anyhow, these T Rudder peds are nearly the same price as the Combat Pedals now, so why not go custom, these thing by all reports are very well made, and very accurate.

As an aside, like I said the space games are really driving HOTAS sales, I think that in the near future us simmers will see a lot of new and better HOTAS hardware, both factory and custom, due to the huge sales potential.  Good times for all of us.

This is a pic of the Slaw 109 Cam model that was built for me (the specific set), if anyone is interested in them, they are fantastic as well by all accounts, but expensive, over 500$ cdn shipped.  Fair warning, Slaw only accepts wire transfer to an account in Europe, in Euros only, and this was going to cost me an additional 75$ or so in banking and transfer fees, so nearly 600$ when all was said and done.

Did you buy them from the euro site? It's not showing $ for me after I enter my info, it shows € euros.

When you go to enter your actual card/payment info, it converts the value to USD.
