New gun setup for the 190A5
« on: April 09, 2015, 10:10:32 AM »
The U12 modification added a gunpods to replace the MG/FF cannons, each containing 2 MG151/20 cannons. This brought the armament up to 2 MG17/7.92 and 6 MG151/20mm guns but also brought upon decreased performance. Fire away.

I thought it was a mod found on the A-8/F-8 models??? No matter... I support it regardless.   :D

No change from the present, then.

Firing AP or HE? Either would be nice, but if AP, then oh my god it's gonna be the best tank buster ever!

I don't believe it was used in the anti-air role regularly, being primarily for anti-tank work.  So it would likely be all AP. :)

I think of how sluggish this AC would be in a dogfight = meat on the table.

It would likely fly more like an A8, which is to say not great, but not helpless either. Especially when flown as a proper 190, and not mixing it up too much in close maneuvering.

Yes gun pods would be great, especially for hunting buffs. It seems that the guns in the buffs are more accurate and deadly then I remember, so yes it would be nice to have an option on load outs to even the playing field when it came to killing bombers. (just saying)
So I vote yes for the pods..lol
