Carpetbaggers Mosquito
« on: May 30, 2015, 04:40:09 AM »
Thanks to Lyric1 for finding me the info for this skin.

In early 1944 the USAAF's 492nd Bomb Group began operations using modified B-24s to drop OSS agents and supplies into occupied Europe. They also operated a number of Mosquito Mk XVIs equipped with Joan Eleanor radio equipment. The idea was the Mosquito would fly at night to a pre-arranged time and place where an OSS operator in the aircraft's bomb bay would conduct a recorded voice conversation with the agent on the ground. These short range VHF signals were virtually impossible to intercept by the Germans and the agent's transmitter weighed only one pound, as opposed to around thirty pounds for the old morse sets used before.

I love you, man.
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

Nice. Black Ops  :rock
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!
