244th Sentai Ki.61, Capt Fumizuke Shono

I requested and received permission from an IL-2 skinner named 200th_Taro to adapt some of his Ki.61 skins to Aces High.  The skin is almost entirely his (that said, he worked from a template made by JayPack44, who I also received approval from), I just made adjustments to allow for the Ki.61s skin stretching and texture map problems.  Still, the result is pretty good I think.   This aircraft, Nr 16,  was flown by Capt. Fumizuki Shono (Shouno?) of the 244th Sentai.





It's much more difficult to find profiles and pics for Japanese aircraft.  But I did locate one profile:

Just trying to give new life to a forgotten model.  I think the problems with the texture map on the rudder eliminate quite a few possible subjects.

I am very sorry to report that none of the Ki.61 skins I submitted were accepted to the game.  They were all rejected on the same quality-related issue - a problem with pixelation in the engine exhaust manifolds, wheel covers, and internal flap surface texture.
