Ships??(A open word to the programmers.)

Hallo,
I just want to say something concerning the game play of AH.
First of all I am not a Propeller Sim. game fan because basically all online Propeller Sim. suffer of the same old concept.
The idea of implementing ground forces in the the game is a interesting concept, but it takes too long to move from A to B and this can go in your money especially if your living in countries were telephone costs are high like in Germany. Besides this driving a ground vehicle is only fun if there are a lot of players in the game. But still it is a very good break away from other online Propeller sims!!

(This Is My Personal Opinion)
This game can be a lot more interesting if you implement small military sea vessels , that can be used  by human players as a Captain or as a gunner.I know putting sea vessels in the game would change the whole concept, you would need a harbour of somekind as a starting point for players who would like to be a Cap. or Gunner on a ship. But if you implement ships and a harbour in the game the logical consequence would be that you can attack other ships by ship and even attack the harbours them selves by ship. Why not combinate an airfield with a harbour at coastal regions,it would be interesting to bombard a airfield with a ship.I know the game is called AH but I have never heard of online sim of this kind that combinates Air Ground and Sea forces. And above all it would be very cool to attack a small fleet of ships by plane or even with a bomber.Imagine a combined Air Sea Ground attack of one group attacking another one.
And yes while I am at it, what about some aircraft carriers, but I would still be very happy with implementing some small ships in the game.
One more word why can you not practice  fighting offline against some bots? It would be alot cheaper for some people to practise their skills offline than online if you live in a country where online costs are expensive. But maybe you just focused on the U.S. market.

But nevertheless I am fascinated by the game.

(Hey don't forget the submarines, no no just kidding)

Naval warfare will be the main focus in 1.04, and will probably extend to more than just aircraft carriers. There may be fleet vs fleet combat and possibly landing craft.

One part of your comments I don't understand - you say ground vehicles are too slow for people paying per minute, and then campaign for ships? Ship combat is slower

Bots don't teach you a great deal, and personally I'd prefer HTC not to waste their time developing the AI for bots when there's a flat rate arena you can connect to for training (I'm in the UK, and still pay per minute for AH for the time being).

Oh, and if you sign up for a trial, PLEASE change your name! Too many number callsigns in this game, seems every day I'm typing '452472 666666!'

What's more fun than a good ol' D-day style amphibious invasion?  Now that's a good idea.

Offshore 2 Carriers launch sorties of attack & escort aircraft into the wind. Destroyers chase up & down the beaches shooting at pillboxes, machinegun nests, and enemy artillery. All the while transport & anphibious craft land tanks, M16's & M3's for an amoured assault.

Gee sounds good to me guys, Hitech is your vision this big? Bigger yet you say?

Rock on dudes!

HiTech was in the arena a couple weeks ago.  When he was asked about ships he said "Yup, PT boats, Battleships and Carriers".

From a conversation with Superfly in the arena:

(He says he's going to start work on the ships after the JU-88 [which he complains will be a pain in the bellybutton to do, and bug fix, something about all the gunner positions in the cockpit, happy now Luftwaffles?   ])

'I think it may be expanded beyond just carrier fleets'

'We've talked about amphibious vehicles and PT boats'

(I ask if that would mean coastside airfields)

'Yeah, there will definately be a new terrain'

'I'm trying to see if HT will have fleets attack each other when they get close, or man the acks'

(I ask if that means mannable field acks too   )

'It's another thing we've talked about, just not something set in stone.'

(I say I reckon that'd be a difficult one because sneak attacks may not reach ack resistance, and once the novelty wears off few people might man acks)

'They'd probably still be AI, but with the ability to man.'

Interesting eh?
