Sheep in the Wolfs Den




Greetings all:
for you bombers and escort guys, this is a real treat

for the axis guys like JG11 this should test your abilities and give you some good practice.

I call this "sheep in the wolfs den"
this is something I made up to give us all a change of pace. this is a 2 hour mission starting at 9pm EST.
all are welcome, come and go as you please, change sides as much as you like. if you could make this your
squad night, it would be helpful. should have something for everyone in this setup.

conditions> all we ask for is balance. side should be relatively equal with allies having slightly more then Axis.

setup:

Time: Monday Night 5/11/15 at 9PM EST in the AVA arena
Map: Germany
Allies(Base 57 only):
Airspawn from A57 South to 20K
planes:
B17 with formations
B24 with formations
P47D-25
p51-B

objective: bomb Base 33 to the east

Axis(base32 only):
Airspawn from A32 South to 20K
BF109G-6
FW190A-5
objective: protect base 33 to the West

no dot dar for planes. dot dar for tower only. you may use a air traffic controller.
dar bar on.

Axis may not cross 7 sector line

The G-6 has a 1.4% increase in wingloading, and is only a few mph slower. If you die in a G-6, you would have died in a G-2 as well.

For sentimental reasons, and those sweet skins, I completely understand. But especially at 20,000ft, if you've got a US aircraft latched onto your 6, you're pretty boned no matter what.

It's like flying a F4U-1A vs a 1D, not much difference but I'll take the better performer if given the option

due to circumstances beyond my control, tonight's mission, "sheep in the wolfs den" has been cancelled.

the server locked up and is not accessible at this time. that means no one can get into the AVA.

I thought the same thing... Any update on this would be appreciated as I was looking forward to this one.

Was the custom arena's being locked in relation to the arena issues the AvA was having? I'm going to go ahead and ASSume so...

the AVA and the Custom Arena's may be on the same server so when one locked the other locked.
