People wanting to stay with friends must then communicate and agree on a new country every time there's a map change.

People would then only be loyal to their close friends and not to a make believe country.

Absolutely disagree. Nits are more disorganized than bish or rooks, and seem to draw the furball types vs the tactical ones. if you doubt that, ask yourself why the nits win maybe 10% of the maps, and rooks and bish split the difference on the rest.

winnings maps has nothing to do with anything other than numbers..  if you have numbers, you will take bases.

to a lesser extent, which time of day you have them helps too.. eg. it's easier to roll maps during offpeak hours.

To remove chess piece loyalty there'd be a simple solution: Making the system decide your country while logging in. That way the game would mostly always be balanced, unless players in a certain country would leave in masses.

That would also be the end of squadrons. But hey, who's interested in squad ops anyway? This is a game for lone wolves, social castaways and hermits! Social media is the place for heritage squads honoring their wartime idols.

My view of the game is base take and win map.

Squads are a big part. Flown with the same group of gentlemen since 2002 and enjoy the fun the vox chatter etc.  Dislike the idea of fighting fellow bish and  squad never switches.

The easiest way to get rid of chess piece loyalty would be to simply rotate the name of the countries once every day or so.

i wonder how people would actually switch to the new name..

Many who were bish, but are now rook would probably switch to remain bish, but not all. Over time the whole chess piece loyalty thing would be restricted to a few old hands who can't shake the team mentality. Good friends and squads would still stick together.

Im sure its no coincidence that the nits for the first time in ages had 25 ENY today, seems like people moved to the nit side to be a part of the winning team, Bish had about their normal strength and ENY but rooks were significantly lower in numbers compare to what they use to. Total number were not much different from earlier days.

Because ENY is in place because of chess piece loyalty. It is meant to punish you for not willingly balancing the teams. Other online military games would force you to balance the teams with matchmaking.

Or, it is meant to give the team with the fewest players a reward for not having the numbers and gives them a bit more of a chance.  Sorry just me looking from a positive point of view instead of a negative point of view because that is how I choose to go through life.


There you have it. Chess piece loyalty. You've chosen the bish as your team and you don't like fighting against your team. It is completely irrational just as it is irrational for your squad never to change teams. I know of several squads who rotate countries, it is not a problem.


ENY is working exactly as intended. You and people like you are the issue, and why ENY is needed.
Him, and people like him are only a problem if they quit the game.

the population numbers don't just compute ENY limiting but also compute the perk point bonus and perk costs so it's both actually.

Well with all the noise and chattering keystrokes regarding HQ and how unfair it is that pilots cant see where the enemy is I hereby post this.

ENY !!!   Most mornings Bish face 20+ eny .  After looking at the roster for over a week  some of the high eny is due to tower sitters and some due to just when Bish numbers are high.  I know the classic line of "Switch sides'  is coming but why should I be forced to change countries when my squad is Bish and have flown Bish since 2002 I pay 15 dollars a month and am handicapped on what planes I can fly.  Its bullcrap.

Perhaps if a player is in tower with no activity they get booted after 15 mins, players with no squad affiliation are sent to low number side or sides, or eliminate eny all together.  Years back it was instituted due more whines about how unfair it was that countries were outnumbered and they were getting rolled.

Can this game please stop cowering to the score hos and furballers whose constant complaints get action.
Sick of flying 25 eny value planes or bombers vs perk planes on a daily basis.  What is not fair? He 111 vs me262 or  trying to defend with a 25 eny fighter vs spit 16 or 109.

Give it up Skully, the only answer you'll get will be "switch sides". Welllllllllllllllll maybe we should log in some morning and switch sides then just sit the tower for hours on end, matter of fact i'll do that in the morning, and switch back when I get home
