Deep Blue showed up last year in the Mexican waters SHark Week was filming at as well. One of if not the biggest tagged, but not observed, so they say at least.
Orca's are far larger, faster, stronger, and are almost always in a pod, where as Great Whites are often solo hunters, although there are occasions where they've been observed hunting in packs, just not with any obvious team work, more like just really good hunting areas that they don't want to spar with each other over. That's something Whites do as well, many of those scars are either from mating, or fighting other whites over territory.
They heal exceptionally fast, that's something marine biologist study quite often - sharks with some pretty deep wounds show that they are healed very rapidly the next time they are observed.
There have been several cases of when orcas have been known to take a White shark, that whatever is released into the water sets off the "get away now" sensors on other white sharks, as ones with tags dive to depths that the orcas can't dive to, being mammals, and they stay at these depths and make good speed away from the area. Their smell and lateral line sensors are pretty incredible.
