Plenty of potent planes available at ENY 25 and up. Especially when considering the fact that Rooks (which you wanted to fight) had an even higher ENY.
Hey the best planes are 25 eny or higher. Learn the f4u-1. That's my favorite plane in the game. There's also p-47d-11 which is a great bird. Very fun to fly. Learn the 109 series, the g2 rocks. Also there's 38g, ki61, p40, spit5...lots of fun birds. Again I can't demand you to fly what you want. If you decide to fly the p-47d-11 learn angles. You might need to go back to college geometry, well they teach the same thing in 6th grade but at a more complex way. Triangles, rectangles, squares. All simple stuff. I loved math. It's somewhat common sense. There are so many different ways to approach it which I enjoyed. Also when you are flying, it requires imaginary thinking. It's not like driving and the road directs you. When flying you are in the atmosphere therefore you can turn where you want. Again a good tip to become a good flyer is to develop a sense of how angles work. It's something like playing pool but in a plane you have control of the throttle. Once you hit that white ball in pool you can't stop the speed. In flying you can control the speed. Might seem difficult but once you get use to it it's like putting on a switch and taking it off.
Fair points. I should fly high ENY planes more often. They are not all dogs and as you point out working with them will improve your skills over time. 100% agree and I need to make a point of picking a plane and working it for a month or so.
Last Saturday, however, I was in the mood to try to take bases.
With a high ENY it is very hard to get the bombers and hvy fighters you need to level a town, take care of GVs and re-suppers not to mention regular old uppers.
The point about the ROCKS having a higher ENY than us (BISH) is actually another argument about why the current ENY process is a heavy, blunt and in a sense idiotic way of solving the player imbalance problem. The reason that both the BISH and the ROCKS had a high ENY was b/c of the very low Nit numbers. There were not enough Nits on to make much of anything. There was no point in going after Nits b/c it our numbers - not very exciting game play. And the problem with having a high ENY on both the BISH and ROCKS is that on offense you have a very hard time brining the bang you need to take bases and on defense it takes a very few number of players to put up a very effective defense.
So, if you are in the mood to take bases and you do not want to fight a side that you have overwhelming odds on, and the prospect of being able to take bases form your equally numbered opponent is low, isn't saying what the heck and logging a probable outcome?
just my 2 cents. (given how many times this subject has come up in the past I really don't expect much to change. Not even sure why I posted in the first place>
