For the Testing Crew: Gunsight Alpha Slider
« on: July 30, 2015, 06:44:58 PM »
Because of the very dynamic lighting engine in this game, some have mentioned not being able to see the gunsight reticle. Many dynamic factors will now dim and brighten it as you fly around. This mirrors real world issues with projecting light onto a pane of glass exposed to direct sunlight.

In the gunsight selection app, Hitech reversed the direction for the slider to brighten the reticle.

To brighten the reticle, push the slider to the RIGHT.

If you look in the sights directory you will find a few extra gunsights. Two of them are the only Historical "Dots" used in WW2. One was an orange dot used by Typhoon\Tempest and the other was a tiny white cross from the K14 gryo gunsight. Any gunsight name with the letter "n" at the end of the name is the night sight version. In the alpha's full dark night time, the red night sights need the alpha pushed to the right. It gets realllyyyy dark out there now.

White, yellow and orangish yellow were daytime colors.

This is like the old joke that voters are harsher to their beer brewer if he has an outage, than their politicians after raising their taxes. Death and taxes are certain but, fun and sex is only now.
