All jokes and banter aside, they have the virtue to let us know when they are coming. And more importantly, if anyone rises to intercept, they dont bail. For me personally, I enjoy the chase and the running battle that lasts for several sectors. Because I suck at everything else, thats the most fun I have on Aces High lately. My 14 year old grandson has started back to school so I have more time in-game. He usually plays on my account because his parents won't put out for internet service. As a Rook, it was his job, and now my job, to at least try to stop the attacks on our capitol, just as the RAF or Luftwaffe did historically regarding attacks on their turf. If we could mount an organized defense it would almost be a mini-scenario every single day/night.  Long Live the Game! <Salute> All

I'd add my two cents about game theory and how taking out HQ for 2 hours flushes any chance of a stable gaming state - one worthy of spending $15 a month on to play, apparently - down the toilet, but I don't think the people with the power to do anything about it really care all that much.

They are working on it and it should be fixed in the new engine. Unfortunately it is not as easy to fix as it appears, it is built into the engine. Hitech was/is changing it to 5 minutes down time to attempt to bandage the problem. It is a shame we have hooligans who stop at no less to game the game, and think they are cool because of it, even though it provides no strategy to them what so ever, just wasting their time. It amazes me people would waste their time flying 2-3 hours to an HQ in bombers, but I guess there really are people with no lives.
