Tunes, my friend. Welcome to a larger world. The first time you write orders you see FSO differently. You have aircraft numbers to meet, minimums, maximums and attacks with a "credible force." Then comes the strategy. Then you go back and look at the requested rides and what that squad flew in the last frame, or the last several frames, and you think: "Wow," I am dancing to a tune (sorry about the pun) called by another. The truth is you are not. The Admins planned and polished this event several months ago. And all the best ones throw it open for a debate among all the CMs. You are acting out a play that has been rehearsed by an entire committee. It's really a humbling experience. I am proud to say that several members of my squad, myself included, the first thing we did after writing orders as CIC was to privately contact the Admins and apologize. "I am sorry I ever complained about a ride, or a mission, or a set up or a map." I was like unto a comet, not understanding even my little corner of the universe, until I saw the sun." You got one more treat in store. On Friday, when the squads clash, sheer random luck comes into play. This is part of why we all love this aspect of the game. To any player who has never written CIC orders, Please contact an Admin and volunteer. You step into a whole new aspect of FSO. Good Luck on Friday, my friend. Call on Chnl 202 if we can help you.
