Since the identities of those involved have been somewhat confusing:
Spencer Stone, USAF, injured in the attack
Alek Skarlatos, US National Guard
Anthony Sadler US.
Chris Norman, UK.
All four received the Legion of Honour from France.

I read that the first two to challenge the attacker were French.
The first was just coming out of the bathroom.
The second was a banker who got shoot and wishes to remain anonymous.  A site said that he was going to be awarded the Legion of Honour in a private ceremony later this week.
Again, all of them saved many lives.
(BTW: My wife tells me that in interview she read about the US Airman said he thought that the guy had no weapons training/knowledge and that if he had a lot of people would be dead.  Beside loading a magazine and pointing the gun, the guy apparently did not have much of a clue as to what he was doing.)
