I just select "desktop view" on my cell phone.  it looks just like, well "desktop view".  then again I dont have a flip phone.

That is what I do. I find that the new AH main page does not look good on a phone either way that you do it though.

quick reply automatically puts it on, if you click the arrow it opens up a full text window and you can un-check the box.

I've found it pretty nifty.
