I am ready for summer to end

After a long summer, i'm sick of cutting the grass, and sick of sweating it out, sick of hearing about climate change, sick of it all... I just want cooler temperatures and beautiful foliage already.  I want to see the air conditioner's turned off and my electric bill to go down.  I'm ready for jack-o-lanterns and pumpkins and all the other sights and sounds and smells of a New England autumn even though it does not technically start until another three weeks... that is all.

Summer won't end here until November/December, unless of course a big hurricane comes along.

We had so much snow last winter it felt like I was shoveling everyday, with a splint on my hand injury also making it more difficult and painful.
