My new PC...
« on: September 03, 2015, 09:16:48 AM »

Over clocked to 4.7 and yep, thats a 120Gb SSD for Windoze, a 512Gb SSD for programs and a 2Tb Hybrid drive for storage.

'Kin 'ell does it fly.  Arma3 with everything turned up to max and I'm getting 120fps.

Nice Skylake build there Swoopy, any pics?  My CPU for my SL build may not get here until next week now, boo, but I'll be  putting it together next week, it'll be pretty similar to this one.

What monitor are you using?  I'm assuming with 120fps that it's a 144hz or something similar - 144hz monitors are something I really like and have been using for a few years now.

What are your o/c results if you don't mind me asking?  What RAM did you purchase as well?

'ello mate.

Glad to see the old coal fired machine is heading for the scrapyard.  :)

Coming your way again for another wedding.  Arrive 24th, leave 28th.  Hopefully we may be able to hook up this time.

The critical question here Swoop is; can it run minesweeper?

Nope, cos it's wired in under the desk where I can just about get to the power button and DVD drive. It's under the desk and packed in behind panels cos the GPU cooling makes a buzzing sound when it starts to get warm.

What monitor are you using?

A 3 yr old AOC 27".  Nuthin special, HDMI input and 1080p widescreen.

4.7ghz and runs everything stable.  Temps are well within limits.

What RAM did you purchase as well?

16Gb of Corsair DDR4 3200.

And I just overflew NYC in FSX with every option turned up to max.....at 42fps.   :x.    The board has 3 PCIe sockets.....I could triple crossfire eventually.....when the price of a 980ti comes down.

It looks like we will stay at the Sherlock Holmes Park Plaza on Baker Street.

It is close to the venue and my client's offices.
