This game used to be full of people who enjoyed WWII aircraft more then the look at me shenanigans.

It still is!  We've always had the chest-pounders, but they're generally a small (but vocal!) minority.  There are plenty of good folks and good fights in this game.  Just don't get drawn into the occasional drama.

Sorry TC, that ship has long sailed. No one has any respect for the "Damned" these days. Old timers sure, new generation, no way, no how.

This is precisely why this thread is so ironic, coming from a member of this squad.

Just watch one twitch feed video and you'll see the exact same attitude the OP is complaining about demonstrated, and even boasted about, by their own CO.  Running away to quickly ditch, then taunting on 200 "denied you a kill" and laughing about it on squad vox -- one unedited twitch film will show more of this attitude than you'll see in a week from others playing AH.  I feel sorry for the OP, being too blinded by loyalty to see it, while goose-stepping along here on the BBS to the same old tune.  Meanwhile the boss tries to chest-thump and deflect from the truth.

The really sad part is the repeated "we never start anything with other players" lie that is uttered over and over.  The films show this is absolutely untrue.  I've seen insulting new players on 200 completely unprovoked.  I've seen targeting new players to vulch them repeatedly for easy kills because they don't know better.  I've seen outright lies, baiting, insulting and excuses (lies even to his own squadmates) in nearly every film I've watched.

While I don't agree with the actions of the bailer, I do laugh at your reaction to it.  Take a moment to reflect on the actions of yourself and your friends.  You reap what you sow.  In the meantime, I'll continue to laugh at and pity this hypocrisy.

For those of us playing this game for well over a decade, Aces High is more of a social club. The game just provides the framework. I keep logging in for the people and Pipz was the kind that you keep coming to meet again.
