Good Work LCA
« on: September 12, 2015, 11:52:18 AM »
Hello, tunes here ...

I would just like to thank the Pilots of the LCA for spending the extra effort to return to A64
Our first attack did not lead to the level of destruction that we have come to expect from an LCA attack.
Lack of Munitions being able to Carrie lead to the softening of targets but not much more.
The Enemy Fighters where up and waiting.

Seven out of twelve made it back to base. Instead of calling it a night. We pushed onward and
launched all Seven Bf110s. Came in at 15K and took down every 25 point object on the base.
Six returned ...

<S> to the LCA for giving it a second try. It Payed off.

I'll jump in from the 'opposition' point of view.

The second bf110 attack was superb.  There's no other way to describe it.

1.  We did not 'collectively' remember how many 110's bought it on the first sortie.
2.  We were drawn away from A64 by the JU88's departing A40 to our northeast.  A mistake.
3.  Your second sortie losses were dished out by fighters returning from the JU88's - out of fuel - out of ammo
4.  We were grateful/hateful that your CiC (and the LCA) put in four attacks on A64 and that one of them featured Stukas!   :D

No matter how you slice it, this is probably the main reason why all of us are drawn to FSO.

Good job, LCA!

 :salute

As one of the JU88's, I wished you hadn't been drawn to us either!  You guys were like angry Hornets!

Thank You Ratsy for the insight and compliment.
Funny that odd timing in a sortie can lead to success or failure.
We where lucky to have perceived.
