Happened to look out the east window, seen something flickering in the sky. Thought it was a beacon of an aircraft through the trees, but once it cleared the trees it was not a beacon of any kind. Orange in color, flickering about like it was on fire. Not fast moving like a meteorite, but slower. From about 35 degrees in the sky to 70 degrees took a minute or two. Once it got about 90 overhead it went dark. I dont think it was an iridium flare simply because it was orange/fire colored and the flashes werent in sync, it was 100% random on the pattern. Seen plenty of satellites and meteorites before, but not with this type and color of illumination. Wondering if some space junk got pulled down and the drag burned it up. Dark enough to not see any trails but was the brightest in the sky other then the moon.
By the time I got the spotting scope up to track it, it went out. Definately something cool and unexpected
