Need to know...

In 6 days, I will be having outpatient bilateral hernia repair done laparoscopically. Has anyone else had this done, and if so, what is your experience regarding pain after surgery and what was your recovery time?

I had two repairs done 6 months apart.

The incisions were 45 degrees from vertical, 2 inches long and mesh was used.

Recovery from one was far worse than the other meaning no repair is like any other.

My wife had hernia surgery and they used mesh to repair it. The mesh had somehow got bunched up several months after the surgery and caused great pain. She had to have another surgery to repair it, which they removed the old and put in a different type of mesh. That was about 2 months ago and she still has pain from it depending on what she does

If I could get her to post a reply she could go into a lot of detail about both surgeries. Both were laparoscopically
