Make New Terrains Available For Alpha-Offline Testing

HTC Has made the Alpha available to us, as long as we have an active BBS account.
How about making the terrains available too.  There's no way to get them, unless we are subscribed to the game as well.
I can't afford that at the moment, but I would still like to be involved in the testing.

Game subscribers are no better off than BBS users regarding alpha terrains. Existing AH terrains will not work with the alpha as it has different ways of handling textures, coastlines and height information. The terrains have to be converted using the terrain editor and then reworked by hand so they look right.

My guess is terrain testing might happen some time after HTC get the game to the beta stage, i.e feature complete. Currently the road/train supply system is not in the game and once it is this may require further changes to existing terrains. Also there is a new type of airfield and V field that can be added, plus the forthcoming new battleship which may or may not have its own task group.

One issue that may need some player testing is runway clearances. The new small airfield runway is angled at 45 degrees compared to the old one and so there may be instances of big hills at the end of runways that need to be cleared.
