Storage
« on: October 02, 2015, 02:24:26 PM »
I like to see storage on HT servers....maybe a NAS device, of configuration files. I've been away for a while, and now that I've been ready to return for a few weeks, but keep putting it off.   My Hard drive died, as all do, and I've dreaded resetting up gunsights, trackir, convergence.  Maybe a check box to opt in for a few MB for a buck or 2, and those who don't want to pay can reconfigure or save them on their own.
Don't tread on me.

Just make a copy once you have it all setup how you like. Put it onto a flash drive.

Download the alpha and install it. All of the alpha aircraft now have historically accurate sights associated to them. You can copy the complete alpha sights directory back into AH2. All of the AH2 planes will be setup with correct gunsights. Before you copy the alpha sights directory over, delete or rename the AH2 sights directory. In AH2 and the alpha the sights directory is named "sights".

This is like the old joke that voters are harsher to their beer brewer if he has an outage, than their politicians after raising their taxes. Death and taxes are certain but, fun and sex is only now.
