Here's a couple of pictures of the SoundBlaster X7 DAC in the wild......................... .....

Ain't she just beautiful sitting there like Darth Vader's Imperial shuttlecraft has landed & Vader himself is about to deliver the "Force"...................

 :D

Will be looking out for them to use........................
Am currently using your current sound pack & I believe that yours is the most realistic sounding of all that I've used...............

I actually was watching a YouTube video awhile back of a real Mustang P51D flying at an airshow & the pilot had a camcorder in the cockpit w/ him & the actual Merlin engine sounds that were streaming on this video sounded practically identical to your recorded Merlin engine sounds recorded for my Spit Mk IX in AH................

I was fully hooked & bagged at that point.................

I may try one of these out with our new gaming rig, you've convinced me.  We have some good headphones (phones, not set), and I'm interested to see how this compares to what I have on our 2 gaming desktops now.

Pudgie, I had that exact same HOTAS stand in black, I forget the company that used to make them, this was back in 2002 when I got it for Xmas one year.  Great stuff, I wish they were still around, although I prefer to have my forearm planted on the same surface as my stick for AH, for DCS and other sims it'd be fantastic to have it back.

H.O.T.A.S.S (Hands On Throttle And Stick Support) Controller Stand by FighterSystems.com

I also have the 3rd stand assembly that mounts in the middle where the rudder pedal mounting plate mounts to the base as well but that was in the way as back in them days I was using my box for other things besides flying or the joystick would've definitely been mounted on it instead of the side.

After a few years later when I finally made my box a gaming platform only I moved my stick to the middle & tried it but I just couldn't get converted......had become so used to the side stick (FS called this the F-16 setup) mount (& had gained a few too many extra pounds & got too fat, TBH--thus the handle Pudgie  :D) that I moved it back to the side & she's been there since...........

I believe you will like the SoundBlaster X7 series DAC-AMP........if you've already experienced a SB Z series SS card's sound reproduction this X7 series is MAGNITUDES over the Z series.........especially when it comes to music sound reproduction.
You might want to go for the X7 Limited instead.........especially if you're gonna be using studio quality speaker systems as the Limited will come w/ the higher amped power brick which will give you the full 100W amp output (costs a little more to get the X7 then get the power brick upgrade to push the same 100W amp output vs the X7 Limited) but I love the X7's black color & I knew that the 70W of amp output from the X7 w/ the std power brick should be WAY more than enough for my Logitech THX 2.1 speaker setup & Sennheiser G4ME headset......
