My dad's new truck
« on: October 30, 2015, 09:27:52 PM »
My dad just rolled home today with this on a trailer. Pretty nice but he didn't even get a lesson on what all the knobs do. It's a 1950 Chevy pickup.

Agreed.  It even has a radio.

Just looking at those photos, I can remember the smell of my grandfather's pickup...

Nah, click on the pics and they are 1:1. They are 5k resolution, don't know why a picture needs such a high quality but oh well.

Agreed.  It even has a radio.

Sadly, the parking brake and the radio don't work. I can probably fix the radio, but I need to open it up first and get a look.

That's not necessarily unrealistic.

Nice Chevy!

Looks like someone has removed the original gas tank and filler and installed a fuel cell underneath the raised wood planks and rails floor of the truck bed...

Neat!  The truck is a looker

I'm assuming the foot starter on the floor right side of the gas pedal is still functioning...

Yes, she's a bit tricky to get started though. Kind of expected given it's age.

There's no way your dad is going to pull that trailer with that beautiful truck! (GET A OLD SMALL TEARDROP TRAILER TO MATCH)

Just my opinion.

Sweet Truck!

Ready to go camping!

(Image removed from quote.)

That's not camping, that's Glamping.  :)

Not a criticism btw.  I will never camp again, I ONLY glamp.  Too old and set in my ways to go roughing it.
Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain
