Pretty sure what I said was if he can't accept my sage advice (it is that) to accept the guidance of his team and if he can't do THAT.... then.

I'd be utterly shocked to hear the rest of the CMs have just cut him loose. I'm absolutely sure they're giving him plenty of help here. If he's ignoring them or giving them static about it, and I don't know that this is or isn't happening, then that choice would be theirs and theirs alone. It's a team after all.

I don't think I was harsh at all especially after last week's debacle where I didn't say anything until he came with the tude towards everyone that was trying to help him. I appreciate the effort and said as much. To slow his roll and use the time available to him to get it right the first time avoids all of this. Not hard. Pretty sure I said that last week too. Lost in translation I suppose.

I see. I'm totally on the outside. My only involvement is in reading the interactions here in this thread. That is the context I had to glean meaning from. That being said, tude or no tude stating publicly --if you can't this! maybe not for you that! Still strike me as harsh (even now knowing some context) toward a struggling volunteer. The old two wrongs not making a right thing. Just my opinion.

Perhaps context isn't your thing or you just don't read very well. Go back and read that ENTIRE paragraph where I said that slowly. Not just the last sentence. Makes more sense now doesn't it? The short of it is be smart enough to ask for help. It's absolutely positively there for him, of that I have zero doubt. Lots of good guys with loads of experience on the CM team. I never said don't listen to me or else. I said if you can't, listen to your team. I'll say it again harsh or not - - if he can't listen to THEM he's got a problem. Hell I get ignored plenty! I can take it!

I know from apprentices bud. The good ones - - the ones that stuck--were always the ones that listened. The ones that didn't? Well I couldn't tell ya what they're doing right now but I sure know what they aren't! And that applies to learning just about anything. Listen to the guys that know. They must might have done this a few times. There's no such thing as a stupid question--but ya gotta ask! Learn from your mistakes - - don't repeat them! Measure twice cut once.

Wow Drano, just wow! I did not intend for this to get ugly so I'll just move on as suggested. Peace and tolerance.

Looks the same to me. Still not seeing any points for aircraft destroyed.

Bud, this is two weeks in a row you've fallen all over yourself trying to get this done quickly. That's appreciated by everyone to be sure. The idea here primarily is to get it right. If we had to wait a day or two (or three) is no big deal. The only time that would factor in would be if this frame's losses affect the next frame's setup. That's not the case here. Even if it were you'd still have until tonight to get that info out.

I'd suggest you pump the brakes and slow your roll. I also have little doubt the rest of the CM team just HAVE to be giving you similar advice as I'm sure they're keeping up with this. If you're not gonna listen to me how about listening to them? They have loads of experience you can draw from. Take advantage of that. If you can't do that then maybe it's just not for you.

I'm sure you'll do a better job of it next time.

Dude...  You sir are the one that need to "pump the brakes"...  There is an old saying "Don't judge a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes."  Seeing as I don't see your name in this link http://www.ahevents.org/cm-team.html you should start a pumping...

Being a CM is a huge time soak.  These people have lives, jobs and kids and do this for zero compensation beyond the satisfaction received in providing YOU some enjoyment. If you have an issue, present the problem and if you are correct, it will be addressed.  Insinuating that Warhwk isn't seeking counsel from the CM team is at the very least disrespectful and says more about your character than his.

Thanks Warhwk for your efforts, and I am fully confident that any mistakes made will be handled accordingly.  Nice work  :salute

I have.  Perhaps you should reread what you wrote as if you didn't write it.

You keep defending this post as if you said nothing inflammatory, and I don't know why.

Just a side note.  The CM team DOES rule this forum as it is with all the Special Event forums.  If you have a problem with a CM, contact the lead CM.  If his/her answer is not to your liking, then contact me about it.

Just FYI.

Tell ya what. I'll play along. I'll break that entire post down sentence by sentence if you like but you know there's an awful lot of what anybody else might call constructive criticism. There's nothing personal. Nothing untrue. Actually a lot of praise passed around to a lot of folks including him!

Save me the time and requote what you think is the most inflammatory part and I'll be glad to straighten you right out on it.

geez drano, maybe you should join the CM team. I'm sure you could do a much better job. being a CM is hard enough, without getting beat up by general population. give it a try, they could always use some new blood.
