This may only be a preliminary tally, as destroyed aircraft was not included. However the outcome should not change.

Sorry Gentlemen, in this series destroyed aircraft count for nothing. It is about stopping your opponent from scoring on ground targets. Focusing on effective fighter escort and pinpointed ground attacks create the victory here.

It does not say anything about this in the event write up, rules and scoring that I can find after reading it several times.... who , what, where, when and or why is "this series" not following the write up and rules and scoring as it is presented at the following link:

http://www.ahevents.org/fso-current-next-event.html

the scoring of this event write up says that they do count:

Quote
SCORING:

Aircraft Points:

Single Engine Fighter    1 point

Twin Engine Fighter      1 points

Twin Engine Bomber     2 points

Ground Target Points:

Vehicle Hangar           25 points

Fighter Hangar           25 points

Bomber Hangar          25 points

Barracks                      3 points

Radar                          3 points

AAA Gun                      3 points

Ammo Bunker              3 points

Bridge Span               20 points per complete span.  Zero pts. for less

Fuel Dump                  3 points

Ships                        CA (4 pts) DD (4 pts)

Other Point Scoring:

NO POINTS are awarded for:

•Destroyed Town Buildings or Non-Structure Buildings

•Destroying unassigned target objects

Frame close landing Bonus:

•  0.5 points awarded for a successful landing

Friendly Fire Penalty:

• -2 points assessed against offending side per occurrence

quote is from the write-up for this November's FSO event, that I linked to above......

just curious as to why you posted :

that destroyed aircraft count for nothing? have no point value? or why it was left out?

this quoted reply seems a bit confusing with regards to the write-up, Sir

Well, that's about a crap sandwich surprise.  What is the reason for all the "oh yeah" changes this tour?  First with getting the objectives out per SOP, now this.  If it ain't broke...

Looks the same to me. Still not seeing any points for aircraft destroyed.

Bud, this is two weeks in a row you've fallen all over yourself trying to get this done quickly. That's appreciated by everyone to be sure. The idea here primarily is to get it right. If we had to wait a day or two (or three) is no big deal. The only time that would factor in would be if this frame's losses affect the next frame's setup. That's not the case here. Even if it were you'd still have until tonight to get that info out.

I'd suggest you pump the brakes and slow your roll. I also have little doubt the rest of the CM team just HAVE to be giving you similar advice as I'm sure they're keeping up with this. If you're not gonna listen to me how about listening to them? They have loads of experience you can draw from. Take advantage of that. If you can't do that then maybe it's just not for you.

I'm sure you'll do a better job of it next time.

Swareiam,
Hang in there!  The learning-curve is a bit steep, and you are doing a great job.
:aok

Drano,
You may have to force a refresh of your browsers to see the updated scores.  The kill scores appears right after the Ace Pilot row.

I thought of that and did but I'm still not seeing it. Just the landed bonus on that line. Maybe a Tapatalk thing?

Some harsh stuff in here Drano, what's with  " if you're not going to listen to me and maybe it's just not for you"? He fixed it! Was that really necessary?
