The auto updater took me from 83 to 84 in 1 minute and with no problems.

Game sound worked without any configurations.

VOX tested okay.

Yesterday the game crashed on me several times.  I tested more today and discovered I could get the game to consistently crash if I was running the TeamSpeak 3 client (3.0.18.2 / 22-OCT-15) with the tS3Overlay.  The game would crash when trying to enter the alpha arena.

You can get TeamSpeak to work with the game if you start AH3, enter an arena, alt+tab to the desktop, start the TeamSpeak 3 client but the game crashes when you try to exit.  It also crashes if you alt+tab to the desktop, shutdown the TeamSpeak 3 client, go back into the game and try to exit.

Auto-updater worked fine.

Sound system worked ok, default sounds only.

VOX beeps but no sound feedback.

Likewise.  I only have default sounds, so can't check custom sounds.  Got the beep, but no voice.  Tried to check the roster to see if I was identifying myself properly, but roster wouldn't show at all (this was in the Mission Arena).

Tried vox, tuned to self, no sound. Transmitted for 1 second, transmission icon showed for about 12 seconds. Game sounds work.

New flak works.  :D

715 reported a problem with trees when using zoom.

Offline using the beta3 terrain, I found that when in CMeye while using a random zoom setting, the trees do blink out as you change your distance. I didn't find this to be true of trees on the base but trees on the hills near v36 exhibit this behavior.

I wouldn't have checked this but I was admiring the new flak base and noticed that the tracers leaving the quad 20mm ack guns weren't visible until they were near their target aircraft. Within say 1,000 feet of the planes as a guess, the tracers show but otherwise they're invisible unless you park next to the ack gun. I always counted on following the tracers back to their guns to de-ack a field so this is a game play issue for me.

With all those 88s, I expected each battery to track and fire when the manned gun was in use, producing a flak box. I would hate it if they were that powerful, but thankfully that didn't happen. Still, all that flak in the sky would be exciting.
Easy in-game again.

Auto-update worked fine

Could not get my vox tuned to myself to work, but I did hear the transmission beeps. ( I could turn those off and on and they worked correctly)  My name did appear when transmitting.

When I went into the beta3 terrain, it was night time and I have to commend you all on the beauty of the night sky.  I did notice when I left the arena, the clipboard that pops up to choose an arena was very dark and unlit which was different from when I first chose an arena.  The background page was well lit.

Started up alpha game again, well lit clipboard for choosing an arena, entered arena, may have been pre-dawn because the clipboard had a dark orange tint, hit quit and it took me to the choose arena clipboard which stayed dark orange.  Looks like it retains the shading of the arena that I just left.  Not sure if that was intended or not.

For all of you who are reporting VOX not working.

What device does it show selected in Options->Game Sounds, for the microphone?

What are the devices shown in that drop down list?

How is your microphone connected to your computer (what interface,..i.e. USB, Sound card (motherboard or addon))?

VOX System:
Options > Preferences > Game Sounds

Devices Shown for Mic (Top one was the default selection):
Stereo Mix (2- Realtek High Definition Audio)
Microphone (Sound Blaster Aidigy Fx)

The microphone is connected to an add-on sound card.

Tried both of the above selections without success.  My game ID would show and there would be a beep AFTER I RELEASED the transmit key (t).  In AH2 the ID and beep happen a second or two after pressing the transmit key.

Auto update OK.
Game sounds panel looks OK.
Can't hear the echo of my voice. It beeps and shows my name, though. And having the microphone monitoring enabled I can hear myself instantly on the headphones.

Options->Game Sounds, for the microphone: Realtek High Definition Audio

Devices shown in the drop down list: Realtek High Definition Audio, Realtek Digital Input (Realtek High Definition Audio). Tried both for the microphone.

Microphone is connected to the motherboard microphone jack in the rear.

I alt-tabbed between this message and the game for accuracy. The mission had started and the image shows how it looked. Couldn't get it any better by using the view hat.

Quote from: BaldEagl, applies to myself, too
I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.
